Thank you for working with our food delivery app as a delivery driver. These Terms and Conditions outline the rules, responsibilities, and expectations for your role as a delivery driver. By working with our app, you agree to these terms.
1. Employment Status
You acknowledge that you are an independent contractor, not an employee of the app or the restaurant. You are responsible for managing your own schedule, taxes, insurance, and expenses related to the delivery services.
2. Driver Requirements
Age and Licensing: You must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver’s license or equivalent certification as required by local regulations.
Insurance: You must maintain appropriate and current insurance coverage for your vehicle as required by law.
Vehicle Maintenance: Your vehicle must be in safe and roadworthy condition, and you must comply with local laws regarding vehicle operation.
Background Check: You agree to undergo a background check as a condition of working with the app.
3. Delivery Responsibilities
Order Pickup and Delivery: You are responsible for picking up orders from restaurants and delivering them to customers in a timely and professional manner.
Customer Service: You must interact with customers respectfully and courteously, including handling any issues that arise during delivery.
Compliance with Laws: You agree to follow all applicable traffic laws and regulations during your deliveries.
4. App Use
Account Access: You will use your account to accept and manage delivery assignments. Do not share your account credentials with anyone else.
App Instructions: Follow the app’s instructions for navigating to the restaurant, picking up orders, and making deliveries.
5. Payment and Compensation
Earnings: Your compensation consists of delivery fees, tips, and any other bonuses as described in the app.
Payment Schedule: Payments will be made according to the schedule outlined in the app (e.g., weekly or bi-weekly).
Tax Responsibility: You are responsible for reporting and paying your taxes, including self-employment tax, as required by law.
6. Safety and Conduct
Safety: Prioritize your safety and the safety of others while making deliveries. Do not engage in reckless or unsafe driving behaviors.
Alcohol and Drug Policy: You must not use drugs or alcohol while working with the app. Operating a vehicle under the influence is strictly prohibited.
Code of Conduct: Treat all parties (customers, restaurants, and app staff) with respect and professionalism.
7. Account Termination
Reasons for Termination: Your account may be terminated if you violate these terms, engage in unlawful or unethical behavior, or fail to perform your duties satisfactorily.
Process for Termination: The app reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice.
8. Confidentiality
Customer Information: You agree to keep customer information confidential and use it solely for the purpose of completing deliveries.
9. Changes to Terms
Modifications: The app may modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you through the app, and your continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Dispute Resolution
Resolution: In case of any disputes arising from your role as a delivery driver, you agree to follow the app’s dispute resolution process as outlined in its policies.
